Hot Power Yoga ( with music)

Alessandro Gozzi

Alessandro has been practising Yoga since the mid-nineties. He has completed training with David Life and Sharon Gannon, creators of Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga, and at Laughing Lotus Yoga School in New York.

Alessandro draws from a background in endurance sports, Aikido, Shiatsu, as well as experience with injury and dis-ease. He was an Aikido teacher for many years.

Alessandro’s classes are physically demanding, mentally stimulating with the intention to affect heart, head and spirit. Emphasizing gracefulness, concentration, safety and laughter, he aims to inspire others to “walk the razor's edge” – the edge being their potential.


Alessandro teaches Jivamukti Yoga, Lotus Flow, Vinyasa Yoga and Hot Power Yoga.

Alessandro is a senior teacher registered with Yoga Alliance UK. 

Alessandro is the co founder of YogaVenue and the Spiralling Crow Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training course.

Caroline Gozzi

Caroline stumbled across Bikram Yoga while living in Melbourne, Australia. After one class she knew that this was something very special and would become part of her everyday life. In 2005 she completed the Bikram Yoga Teacher training course in Los Angeles and later her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Laughing Lotus in New York.
Caroline believes Yoga should be for everyone, regardless of age, ability or level of fitness. Her classes are open to everyone, challenging but fun at the same time.

Caroline teaches Hot 26, Hot Power Yoga, Hot HIIT Yoga, Lotus Flow and Vinyasa Yoga.
Caroline is a senior teacher registered with Yoga Alliance UK.

Luka Baggio

Luka found Bikram yoga in her second year of studying drama at the Central School of Speech and Drama as a way to deal with the stresses of daily drama school life.

After her first class she realised she was pursuing the wrong career. She managed to incorporate daily Bikram practice into her busy school schedule while maintaining a pub job on the side. Bikram was the only thing that kept her going, so in Spring 2013, soon after graduating, she went to teacher training. Luka has since gone to to complete her Vinyasa Yoga and Hot Power Yoga with Spiralling Crow at YogaVenue in 2015.

Luka loves the calming effect that Bikram Yoga can bring. “I used to have a constant mind chatter that I’d just grown to accept, but after a year of regular practice the mind chatter stopped. I could breathe and enjoy life in the present moment. It has absolutely transformed my life.”

Lisa Cuerden

Lisa has been working in the fitness industry for just over 11 years and many of you may recognise her from her hugely successful Vibe Concept classes in Oxford and around the country. Lisa turned to Yoga to help reduce her stress levels and take care of her body and ease out the tightness caused by her vigorous training. She completed her first Yoga training 7 years ago and further deepened her training this Summer completing an additional 200 hour training in Vinyasa Yoga in the US. She has since completed her Hot Power training with Alessandro and Caroline at YogaVenue.

Jill Kennedy Dear

Jill walked into her first hot yoga class in 2010 to help her cross-fit and running training. “I wouldn't say I was hooked from the start!” but she soon noticed the benefits, both mental and physical, and began to love her time in the hot room where there was nothing to think about but the breath.

Jill completed her Teacher Training with Fierce Grace in 2015. She says, “To me, yoga is about being happy. It teaches incredible patience, acceptance and honesty.”

When Jill isn't practising or teaching, you will see her working on reception. She loves talking to the students at YogaVenue and seeing people on their yoga journeys.

The YogaVenue Hot Power Yoga class perfectly combines flowing vinyasa sequences with more static practices like the Hot 26. The structure of the class is designed to build strength and flexibility with an emphasis on upper body and core strength. Flowing sequences promote grace and stability while longer holds develop strength. The class is held in a heated room, so the heat warms up the body allowing you to stretch into the asanas (postures) safely while at the same time aiding detoxification and increasing the cardiovascular element of the class. All our Hot Power classes are chaturanga free to allow you to work on your alignment and focus on the integrity of flowing from one pose to the other safely. Our Hot Power class sequence changes every few months to ensure that the needs of both body and mind are met. Expect planks, sun salutations, warriors, hip openers and the option to include gentle arm balances. You may leave class feeling physically and mentally cleansed.

This class is great all-round class for all levels. It is great to try if you are used to a Hot 26 practice and want to experiment with different styles in the heat. It's also perfect if you're used to more flowing Vinyasa classes and want to try something with a little heat.

YogaVenue Hot Power classes are 75 minutes long. All ability levels welcome. Classes are held in a heated room (temperature 35-37 °C). Some of these classes are with music and are identified on our schedule.
