Yogeswari (Senior Jivamukti Yoga Teacher) instructs the following:
  • Jivamukti Hip Hot & Holy: The Art of Vinyasa Krama Workshop
  • We are excited and honoured to welcome back Yogeswari to the Oxford Yoga Community in this 3 hour Jivamukti Yoga Workshop.

This workshop is suitable for teachers, teacher trainees and interested in Yogis.

Jivamukti is hip: In the eighties, Sharon Gannon and David Life, the founders of the Jivamukti Yoga method, brought Yoga into the most radical underground communities, in the East Village of New York. In doing so, they integrated the hidden and mysterious teachings of yoga into the artistic avant-garde, and made Yoga Hip, i.e. relevant for people living in a modern, urban environment. Jivamukti is spiritualized performance art, where poetry, dance, asana and music are coming together with Vedic wisdom teachings, and the audience are the actors.
Jivamukti is hot and holy; because it addresses the most burning issues of our times. The Asana practice generates inner heat, that allows practitioners to melt away old paradigms and conditioned behavior patterns that are no longer useful. When we clear these obstacles out of the way, we have an opportunity to experience what was revealed in the Shrutis (sacred texts of India), which is that essentially, we are made of pure love, pure light, and pure joy.
The Art of Vinyasa Krama Workshop
Vinyasa is commonly known as a vague concept of “Flow Yoga.” In this works Ahop, we will go more deeply into the esoteric meaning of Vinyasa Krama, and how to execute it with precision, both on the mat and in life.

Levels: All levels welcome, particular interest for Yoga teachers, teacher trainees and interested Yogis.

    Fee: £45

Places are limited, booking early is highly recommended.

  • Jivamukti: Hip Hot & Holy: Masterclass on Backbends!
  • We are excited and honoured to welcome back Yogeswari to the Oxford Yoga Community in this 2.5 hour Jivamukti Yoga Masterclass.

Backbends are an age-old recipe for letting go of muscular contractions and emotional hardening in the heart region. This unleashes the discovery of an unlimited potential for physical, emotional and spiritual freedom. Spiritual teachings will be drawn from the Jivamukti Focus of the Month.

Levels: All levels welcome, although some experience of Yoga would be beneficial. Suitable for teachers, teacher trainees and interested yogis

    Fee: £40
