Will Yoga Help You Recover from Long Covid?

Can Yoga help with the treatment of Long Covid? We’ve had several people return to the studio experiencing Long Covid and looking to incorporate yoga in their path to recovery. There have also been several articles in the press regarding how Yoga can be extremely beneficial for those suffering from Long Covid. So, what is the best Yoga practice to help with the management of long covid?

 

We know that Yoga, in particular the breathwork aspect, can be extremely beneficial for overall lung health as well as helping to reduce stress, inflammation, anxiety and fatigue. There is also evidence to suggest that Yoga can be helpful for the treatment of chronic diseases.

 

But before you rush to book into a yoga class, take a moment and chat with your doctor. We know that the symptoms of Long Covid are wide ranging, and every case is different. Long Covid is still a very new condition and research into the causes and treatment is ongoing.
